[JAYAPURA] Aparat kepolisian dari Polresta Kota Jayapura, Sabtu (1/12) pagi dengan kekuatan 2 SST Dalmas serta 1 SST dari Polsek Abe membubarkan para pendemo yang hendak merayakan peringatakan 1 Desember yang biasa disebut hari kemerdekaan Papua Merdeka, sekitar pukul 10.20 WIT. Sebelumnya mereka berorasi di putaran angkutan umum Perumnas III Waena, dan ngotot melakukan long march ke Expo Waena. Aparat juga sudah memperingatakan agar mereka naik mobil truk saja ke Expo, namun anjuran itu tak diindahkan.

“Merdeka, merdeka, merdeka, ”teriakan itu terdengar dalam long marc yang dilakukan mahasiswa dan aktivis.

Setelah berjalan sekitar 500 meter depan PLTD Waena, para pendemo dihadang kembali aparat dan diminta membubarkan diri. Namun mereka menolaknya, akhirnya dilakukan pembubaran dengan 2 tembakan airmata.

SP yang berada di tempat kejadian tersebut melihat para pendemo yang berjumlah 50-an orang pun langsung membubarkan diri. Tiga orang diamankan dan dibawa ke truk tahanan.

Kapolresta Jayapura Kota, AKBP Alfred kepada SP mengatakan, kegiatan itu tidak diijinkan, namun mereka tetap memaksakan diri untuk ke Expo Waena dan selanjutnya ke makam Theys di Sentani. Sehingga saya perintahkan untuk memblokir di depan RS Dian Harapan. Dan pada saat negosiasi berlangsung mereka tetap ngotot, dan kami lakukan upaya paksa untuk membubarkan pendemo,”ujarnya.

Kata dia, pembubaran dilakukan dengan 2 tembakan gas airmata, itu dikarenakan pada pendemo melakukan lemparan kepada masyarakat sekitar. “Akibat lemparan tersebut seorang terluka dibagian siku akibat lemparan dan kini dirawat dirumah sakit, “ujarnya. Dan dalam aksi tersebut kata dia, 3 orang kami amankan.

Dari pantaun SP akibat kejadian tersebut sejumlah toko-toko tutup. Mereka yang tertangkap Ketua Komite Nasional Papua Barat, Viktor Yeimo (29), Humum Kiman (20), Ebel Sala (19) mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Hukim Umel Mandiri. [154]
