Auckland, 17 September 2012 – Hawaiian Airlines today announced a range of super air fare deals from New Zealand to Hawaii and the US mainland, with prices starting at just NZ $1117 in Economy Class and NZ $3317 in Business Class.

The airline, which starts Auckland-Honolulu flights three times weekly from 14 March next year, has introduced deals to Honolulu and beyond to the neighbour islands of Maui, Kauai and Hawaii Island, and 11 mainland destinations including four favourites of Kiwi travellers – Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco and New York.

Return fares from Auckland to Honolulu, including taxes and surcharges, are priced from just NZ $1117 Economy Class and NZ $3317 Business Class.

For travel to the neighbour islands of Maui, Kauai or Hawaii Island, Economy Class fares start at NZ $1223 and Business Class from NZ $3423.

Hawaiian also is offering Economy Class fares to 11 US mainland cities – Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, San Jose, Oakland, San Diego and Phoenix from NZ $1535 and Business Class from NZ $4135, and New York City from NZ $1735 in Economy Class and NZ $4435 in Business Class.

These are low season fares, available for departures between 14 March and 18 April, and again from 06 May – 11 July and from 29-31 July. Higher levels apply for other travel periods.

The special fares are available for sale until 12 October, 2012. Seats are limited at these prices, and some conditions apply.

“New Zealanders love the USA,” said Stephen Tanner, General Manager of the Walshe Group, which represents Hawaiian Airlines in New Zealand.

“With our new flights from Auckland to Hawaii and the mainland coupled with these special fares, the strong NZ dollar and competitive pricing on the ground in the USA, the timing is perfect to book a holiday to the US,” Mr. Tanner said.

“The opportunity to combine a stopover in Hawaii with a visit to the US mainland also will be very attractive with the Kiwi traveller,” he said.

Hawaiian is a full-service leisure airline, offering authentic Hawaiian service plus meals, drinks, main screen entertainment, headsets and blankets with every fare from New Zealand.

The airline also offers every passenger flying from New Zealand a generous checked baggage allowance of two items, each weighing up to 32 kilograms, perfect for family travel or big brand shopping in Honolulu.

Hawaiian Airlines will operate its Auckland-Honolulu flights with wide-body twin-aisle Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, seating 264 passengers in a two-class cabin, with 18 in Business Class and 246 in Economy Class.

Flight HA 446 will depart Auckland at 11:55 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, cross the international dateline and arrive in Honolulu at 9:45 a.m. the same day.

The return flight to New Zealand, HA 445, will depart Honolulu at 1:45 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, cross the international dateline and land in Auckland at 9:55 p.m. the following day.
