WELLINGTON (Radio NZ International / Pacific Media Watch): The New Zealand Defence Force has refused to explain why a member of the Indonesian military’s notorious special forces unit, Kopassus, has been in the country to receive training.
Major Edwin Sumanta recently attended New Zealand’s premier military educational institution, the Command and Staff College in Trentham.
Kopassus conducts special operations for the Indonesian government and has been widely accused by human rights groups of committing rights violations in West Papua and Aceh.
Radio New Zealand International was told by a NZDF spokesperson that the involvement of Major Sumanta in the College’s course is too sensitive to comment on.
The Defence Force says course attendees are nominated by New Zealand’s Defence Attaches and are cleared and vetted by the NZDF.
A member of Indonesia’s Navy is attending the current Command and Staff College course.

Do you really need an explanation-is this not Res Ipsa Locquiter (speaks for itself). In International Law-the Law of War-attacks against civilians is a war crime-even worse when disproportionate force is used. The NZ defense Force is training Kopassus. The recent killings and destruction of more than 100 houses in retaliation by the “special force” is the result of training by powers. Maybe it’s the Freeport Mine that is keeping NZ involved. So much for a developed nation, civilized and human rights! SHAMEFUL that the Papuans were cheated out of a country.
I think there is movement to break hand of crime at highest level in the world in a race against time to keep the Earth alive.. An operation with more power than one nation or group can muster and which has friends in high places, anonymous or otherwise who do care about stuff. It is running into stiff opposition by entrenched interests of immense finance and stealth. Also completely irrespective of national borders but keenly aware of what affects pecuniary position and reigns of sovereign power.
Temperature of Earth and ecosystem stability is at point of change and war or overt use of power except very specifically and carefully is suicide.
Again it is my gut sense there is a movement underway that can’t be stopped which is trying to protect and eliminate the hand of world order.
Human Right with benefit… Eliminate the best special force of Indonesia.
